[Hiring] Senior QA Test Engineer @Huron

Role Description

As a Senior QA Test Engineer, you will be a key contributor in ensuring the quality of Huron’s enterprise applications. The successful candidate will help define and ensure that Huron’s applications meet high standards for reliability, usability, and performance. You will work closely with the Product Management and Engineering teams in the design, implementation, release, and maintenance of multi-user, dynamic, web-based, and analytics applications. This role requires:

The role requires strong expertise in:

• AWS and Performance Testing using JMeter.
• Selenium Automation Framework with Java.
• Basic database concepts including SQL queries and data validation.
• Troubleshooting and debugging.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

The successful candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Under general direction, this individual is responsible for:

• Carrying out procedures to ensure that all software, hardware, applications, and services meet the standards of the organization and end-user requirements.
• Analyzing and testing software and application configuration to ensure that products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards.
• Participating actively in Agile testing methodology.
• Developing, modifying, and executing test plans and suites.
• Communicating with product developers and technical support specialists on software issues.
• Performing tests to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
• Creating test data to ensure thorough evaluation.
• Documenting and working to resolve basic problems and reporting progress on problem resolution to management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional QA/Test Engineering experience with strong experience in both manual and automation testing.
• Good understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Familiar with AWS services: CloudWatch, EventBridge, QuickSight, Batch Jobs, Lambda, S3, Redshift, Glue, Bedrock.
• Strong hands-on experience with Performance Testing using JMeter.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot JMeter performance tests.
• Strong hands-on experience developing Selenium automation using Java.
• Experience designing and maintaining reusable automation frameworks and automated regression suites.
• Demonstrated experience with data lake, data warehouse, ETL/ELT, or data pipeline testing.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, system, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar tools.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of QA activities, identify risks proactively, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Requirements

• Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration of automated and performance tests.
• Experience with Python for test automation, data validation, or test utilities.
• Experience testing AI-powered applications and workflows.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and Responsible AI practices.
• Exposure to AWS Bedrock, Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, or similar AI platforms.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, and Prompt Engineering.
• Experience working with offshore/distributed teams.
• Experience in new product development environments.
• Experience in the Healthcare domain.
• Experience working with PHI/PII and healthcare data, including applicable data privacy and security requirements.

Benefits

• Estimated base salary: $95,000 - $130,000 USD.
• Eligible for Huron’s annual incentive compensation program.
• Total estimated compensation range: $109,250 - $149,500 USD.
• Eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans, including medical, dental, and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
