Role Description

Are you passionate about delivering robust and high-quality solutions? In this role, you will:

• Validate business requirements
• Identify and document defects
• Execute manual and automated testing strategies
• Advocate for quality across product development initiatives
• Ensure customer-facing applications, backend services, and APIs meet functional, integration, performance, and usability expectations
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, automation coverage, and Quality Engineering practices

Your Impact:

• Drive quality by analyzing business requirements to design and execute risk-based testing strategies
• Develop and maintain UI test automation using Playwright
• Validate backend services and data integrity
• Document defects and perform root cause analysis on production issues using application logs and telemetry
• Act as a key quality advocate within Agile ceremonies
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to identify risks early and ensure clear acceptance criteria
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and improve system observability
• Evolve quality engineering standards and best practices across the organization

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, Quality Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, risk-based testing, SDLC, STLC, Agile development practices, and Quality Engineering principles
• Experience testing modern web applications, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems in a fast-paced development environment
• Experience creating or maintaining automated UI tests using Playwright or similar modern automation frameworks
• Experience validating API requests, responses, business rules, and downstream data integrity
• Experience performing impact analysis and determining regression scope for changes affecting shared services or multiple applications
• Working knowledge of software architecture concepts, including service-oriented and microservices-based applications
• Exposure to cloud-native applications, modern software delivery practices, and CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

• Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG), security, or compliance testing practices (Bonus)
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, Insomnia, or similar (Bonus)
• Experience testing event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, or supplier/third-party integrations (Bonus)
• Experience using observability platforms, centralized logging, distributed tracing, or application performance monitoring (APM) tools (Bonus)
• Experience with cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized application deployments (Bonus)
• Experience with performance, load, or resilience testing using tools such as k6, JMeter, or similar (Bonus)
• Experience contributing to automation frameworks, reusable test utilities, or shared Quality Engineering tooling (Bonus)
