Role Description

Senior Manager (Test Consultant) (full-time; multiple openings) needed in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to lead and oversee software quality assurance and testing activities across multiple projects involving customized business applications.

• Planning, coordination, execution, and oversight of software testing and quality assurance processes, including:
  • System testing
  • Integration testing
  • User acceptance testing
  • Regression testing
• Lead QA efforts to ensure software applications meet defined functional requirements, quality standards, and acceptance criteria prior to implementation.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, project management, and development teams on risk assessment related to software quality, defect trends, and testing outcomes.
• Communicate testing status, quality risks, and remediation progress to stakeholders through reports and status updates.
• Ensure that final software deliverables undergo appropriate independent verification and validation prior to release.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in:
  • Computer Science
  • Engineering (any)
  • Business
  • Technology
  • A related field
• Plus three (3) years of software development, testing, consulting, or business analysis experience in IT field.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in the same fields plus six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience will be accepted.
• Must have one (1) year of IT testing work experience using:
  • Selenium
  • Jenkins
  • HP ALM
  • SOAP UI

Requirements

• All experience may be acquired concurrently.
• Travel and relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required based on business needs.
• International travel not required.
• Travel not to exceed 5% / year for meetings and to complete assigned projects of varying lengths.
• Telecommuting may be permitted as needed.
