[Hiring] Senior Engineer, Test Automation @Care Access

Role Description

The Senior Engineer, Test Automation is responsible for designing, implementing, and advancing the automated testing infrastructure that supports Care Access's regulated software platforms. This position develops and maintains scalable test automation frameworks, with a strong emphasis on Playwright-based end-to-end testing, to ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of software solutions throughout the development lifecycle. The role applies expertise in GxP validation principles and computerized system validation to support software quality within a regulated environment.

The Senior Engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional product, engineering, and quality teams to:

• Integrate automated testing into development and deployment processes.
• Promote quality engineering best practices.
• Continuously improve testing strategies.

This position also evaluates and implements emerging technologies, including AI-assisted testing approaches, to expand test coverage, improve efficiency, and strengthen software validation while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and organizational requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with Playwright and experience building automation frameworks that are reliable and easy to maintain.
• Exposure to GxP validation practices — contributed to or authored traceability matrices and validation summary reports.
• Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11, GCP, or similar regulatory frameworks as they apply to software systems.
• Curiosity about AI tooling in testing — experimented with or eager to explore LLM-assisted test generation and failure analysis.
• Solid engineering fundamentals: can read production code, debug across the stack, and build test infrastructure engineers actually want to use.
• Clear communication: can explain test strategy and risk tradeoffs to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Experience: 5+ years of software or QA engineering experience, with meaningful depth in test automation.
