Role Description

The Quality Engineer plays a key role in the Company’s transition from traditional quality assurance to a modern Quality Engineering model while retaining a strong foundation in hands-on manual testing. The Quality Engineer will help build quality into the software development lifecycle by:

• Partnering early with product, engineering, operations, clinical, and support stakeholders to identify risk and clarify requirements.
• Shaping testability and executing thoughtful manual validation.
• Expanding automation where appropriate and improving release confidence before changes reach production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience performing manual, exploratory, regression, integration, API, web-based, mobile, or enterprise application testing.
• Demonstrated ability to create thoughtful test plans and execute detailed manual validation.
• Experience with quality engineering practices such as test case management, test automation, API validation, and CI/CD quality gates.
• Experience working within agile delivery teams using common planning and testing tools.

Requirements

• Healthcare technology experience preferred, including familiarity with urgent care workflows and electronic medical records.
• Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, QMetry, or BrowserStack.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and practical validation of accessible user experiences.
• Quality engineering, automation, accessibility, cloud, healthcare technology, or security-related certifications.

Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $83,500/year to $114,858/year.
• Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, education, geographic location, and other business-related factors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports scalable quality practices across product engineering delivery teams.
• Design, document, execute, and maintain various test cases for web, mobile, API, and back-end services.
• Develop and maintain repeatable testing approaches, including automation.
• Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements, assess risk, and validate fixes.
• Validate key urgent care workflows and evaluate product changes against operational workflows.
• Perform various types of testing using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Contribute to quality gates, release validation, and defect trend analysis.
• Support production readiness by validating critical workflows and confirming defects are resolved.
• Identify opportunities to reduce repetitive manual validation and improve test coverage.
• Manage the support ticket queue and provide clear support to end users.
