The Quality Control Manager position requires in-depth knowledge of the Quality Control function with regards to FNMA, FHLMC, FHA/VA, USDA requirements. The Quality Control Manager should be well versed in performing and reviewing:

• Pre-and Post-Close reviews
• Repurchase reviews
• Early Payment Default
• Red Flag/ Fraud Reviews

This individual understands the mission, culture, general operating functions and quality control needs of the organization and that of our Client's unique operating environment, operating risks, and available quality control strategies and tactics to reduce and remove risk exposures.

The manager must be knowledgeable in both state and federal regulatory requirements for real estate lending, must understand how to assess the accuracy, reliability, and appropriateness of each document. Responsibilities include:

• Managing and training quality control staff members
• Managing and supporting the pre-funding and post-closing quality control and due diligence functions
• Developing and managing the Quality Assurance reviews for all auditors for Post-closing and Pre-funding
• Recommending quality and general operational improvements based on review of findings and auditor scorecards
• Prioritizing job/staff responsibilities, providing assignments, meeting required deadlines, and developing project plans and/or schedules
• Frequently monitoring regulatory changes and updates and keeping staff informed
• Ensuring confidential information and private customer information is secure
• Reviewing a high volume of loan activity while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy
• Recognizing and relaying irregularities and concerns to appropriate management staff
• Serving as Subject Matter Expert to internal/external staff and customers regarding underwriting and compliance in relation to credit risk
• Providing input on processes, procedures, and/or new approaches
• Working effectively, interacting, and multi-tasking professionally with clients and employees
• Resolving customer concerns and issues related to our work product
• Determining Quality-Control trends and issues and implementing as required
• Coaching others on Quality-Control issues, problems and/or questions
• Preparing and/or updating quality control/quality assurance procedures and manuals
• Identifying and documenting when company standards or regulations have not been followed
• Supervising Quality Control Auditors and the output from those areas
• Performing other duties assigned by the Director of Quality Control

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5 years Mortgage Credit Underwriting or Post-Closing QC auditor experience
• 5 years Management experience
• Self-motivation, detail orientation and organizational skills
• Proficient PC skills in MS Office
• Ability to develop spreadsheets and other departmentally required documents utilizing MS Excel/Word
• Ability to work on cross-functional teams
• High attention to detail
• Strong technical skills with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues
• Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy
• Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and possess organizational skills
• College degree preferred; however, experience equivalent considered

Requirements

The pay rate range for this job position is $96,600 to $221,300. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
