Role Description

The QA Software Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications before release. This role involves:

• Designing, documenting, and executing manual and automated test cases.
• Identifying, recording, and tracking bugs through defect tracking systems.
• Performing regression, functional, integration, and performance testing.
• Collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Reviewing software requirements and technical specifications for clarity and testability.
• Participating in sprint planning and contributing to quality assurance process improvements.
• Verifying fixes and validating that resolved issues meet expected outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a QA Tester or in a similar quality assurance role.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA.
• Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Requirements

• Experience with API testing and automation frameworks (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of SQL and version control (e.g., Git) (preferred).
• ISTQB or similar certification is a plus (preferred).
• Comfortable working U.S. hours.
