[Hiring] QA & Security Testing Lead @VLink

Role Description

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented QA & Security Testing Lead to spearhead the quality assurance and security validation phases of a critical legacy system modernization project for the State of Florida's Executive Office of the Governor. This project entails migrating a legacy Microsoft Dynamics CRM to a modern, cloud-first Microsoft Power Platform environment.

Because the system manages highly sensitive workflows—including auditing, state investigations, and whistle-blower intake—rigorous functional testing and strict security compliance are paramount. The ideal candidate holds both ISTQB and Security+ certifications and possesses deep expertise in testing enterprise-grade Microsoft solutions while adhering to stringent government security frameworks.

• Test Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on ISTQB best practices to validate the new Power Platform configuration against all business and technical requirements.
• Security Assessment: Lead security testing initiatives, including vulnerability scanning, role-based access control (RBAC) validation, and data encryption verification to ensure the system meets the State of Florida's strict cybersecurity and cloud-first statutory requirements (Chapter 282.206, F.S.).
• Data Migration Validation: Ensure data integrity and security during the complex migration of legacy Dynamics CRM records into the new Dataverse/Power Platform environment.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and triage software defects and security vulnerabilities. Work closely with the Lead Solution Architect and Power Platform Developers to ensure rapid resolution.
• UAT Support: Coordinate with the Business Analyst and EOG stakeholders (such as the Office of the Chief Inspector General) to facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring the system operates flawlessly for end-users prior to go-live.
• Compliance Documentation: Generate detailed QA and security test reports, providing the necessary documentation to certify system readiness and security compliance for government deployment.

Qualifications

• Certifications (Required): ISTQB Certification (Foundation Level minimum; Advanced Level Test Manager or Security Tester preferred), CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent/higher cybersecurity certification such as CISSP or CISM).
• Experience: 5+ years of experience leading software quality assurance and security testing, preferably for enterprise-level IT implementations or software modernization projects.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience testing Microsoft Dynamics CRM and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse). Familiarity with automated testing tools tailored for Microsoft environments.
• Government Familiarity: Prior experience testing systems that handle sensitive government data, investigative workflows, compliance requirements is highly preferred.
