[Hiring] QA & Release Specialist @Yellow Social Interactive

Role Description

As the QA & Release Specialist, you will ensure platform capabilities are ready for release from a Product, business and operational perspective. You will lead functional validation, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), govern release readiness and help establish the quality standards that support a reliable and scalable platform.

Working closely with Product Owners, Engineering and business stakeholders, you will ensure every release is delivered with confidence through structured testing, clear documentation and effective release governance. You will play a key role in embedding quality and release management within Product, ensuring new capabilities meet business expectations and are operationally ready for controlled and predictable release.

Success in this role means platform capabilities are thoroughly validated before release, releases are well governed and predictable, and production issues caused by functional defects are reduced. You will also contribute to the ongoing maturity of Product Quality, embedding it as a core part of the delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Software/ Product QA, Release Management or a similar role.
• Strong functional and regression testing experience.
• Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing.
• Experience supporting software releases within Agile environments.
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
• Strong organizational and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in German is a plus.

Requirements

• Experience within Product-led organizations.
• Platform or SaaS experience.
• Social Casino, Gaming or regulated industry experience.
• SQL knowledge.
• Experience introducing QA frameworks or governance models.
• Aware of test automation principles and tools.

Areas of Responsibility

• Product Quality
  • Champion Product Quality by ensuring capabilities meet agreed expectations before being released into production.
  • Validate delivered functionality against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Assess customer journeys, operational workflows and business processes.
  • Identify risks early and work with Product and Engineering to resolve them.
  • Promote consistent quality standards across Product delivery.
• Testing & Validation
  • Create and maintain functional and regression test scenarios.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing with business stakeholders.
  • Manage defect reporting, retesting and validation.
  • Ensure testing remains aligned with business priorities and release timelines.
• Release Management
  • Coordinate Product readiness to support controlled and successful releases.
  • Manage Product release readiness activities and checklists.
  • Confirm testing, documentation and business approvals are complete before release.
  • Prepare release notes and user guidance.
  • Support production releases and post-release validation.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Review production issues to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Expand regression coverage as platform capabilities evolve.
  • Improve testing documentation, templates and quality standards.
  • Support the ongoing maturity of Product Quality across the organization.
