[Hiring] QA Lead @CI&T

Role Description

As a QA Lead, you will define the quality vision and lead the execution of comprehensive testing strategies across our product lines. Serving as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, you will ensure that our software delivery remains fast without compromising excellence. Your leadership will be crucial as you manage a team of engineers, architect robust automation frameworks, and drive a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Define, implement, and evolve the overall QA strategy, including the selection of tools, methodologies, and KPIs for the engineering department.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and resource a team of QA engineers, conducting performance reviews and fostering professional growth.
• Automation Governance: Architect scalable automated testing frameworks and oversee their integration into the CI/CD pipeline to maximize test coverage.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to identify project risks, set quality benchmarks, and ensure the "Definition of Done" is met.
• Process Excellence: Participate in the implementation of testing best practices and the testing pyramid, ensuring a "Shift-Left" approach to quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Release Oversight: Act as the final gatekeeper for releases, providing clear go/no-go recommendations based on data-driven quality metrics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a lead or managerial role, with a total of 7+ years in Software Quality Assurance.
• Proven expertise in designing and maintaining automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium).
• Deep understanding of the testing pyramid, including unit, integration, API, and UI testing.
• Exceptional ability to conduct root cause analysis and risk assessments for complex software ecosystems.
• Proficiency in JIRA and other project management tools to track progress, sprints, and defect lifecycles.
• Advanced English proficiency (fluent in both verbal and written communication).

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab) and cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure).
• Familiarity with non-functional testing tools like JMeter, Locust, or OWASP ZAP.
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation and back-end testing.
• Experience coaching teams on Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement mindsets.
