[Hiring] QA Automation Engineer @Aspire

Role Description

As a QA Automation Engineer at Aspire, you will combine your hands-on automation and manual testing experience to build and maintain reliable, high-quality software solutions. You will work across web application testing, automation frameworks, CI/CD, and API testing while collaborating with developers, product owners, and QA engineers to improve software quality and delivery.

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications.
• Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing where automation is not the right fit.
• Design test cases and test scenarios based on requirements and user stories.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Improve test coverage and maintain scalable, reliable automation frameworks.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and Agile team discussions.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, defects, and quality concerns to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Increased automated test coverage and reduced manual testing effort.
• Improved software quality through effective functional, regression, and API testing.
• Faster and more reliable releases through CI/CD test automation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with manual testing and test case design.
• Experience developing automation scripts for web applications.
• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management.
• Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into clear test scenarios.
• Strong JavaScript skills; TypeScript is a plus.
• Proficiency in Playwright is preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Basic experience with API testing using Postman or Playwright API testing.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Experience with Git and code reviews.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of performance or accessibility testing is a plus.
• ISTQB or other relevant testing certification is a plus.
• Awareness and application of IT security best practices aligned with ISO / SOC standards.
