Role Description
We are urgently seeking a QA Automation Engineer to support an ongoing project for our client, during a critical phase. You will be joining a high-performing team that is currently at capacity, and stepping in to address a significant QA backlog due to the temporary absence of our sole QA resource. This role requires someone hands-on, experienced, and autonomous, who can ramp up quickly and begin contributing with minimal onboarding.
- Own the QA effort for the project, working independently while coordinating with the dev team and PM.
- Quickly understand the test scope, QA backlog, and automation framework in place.
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Maintain and update test cases and suites in QTest.
- Support performance testing activities and scripting with Neoload.
- Identify, log, and track bugs and inconsistencies across environments.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables and manage testing in tight timelines.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong foundation in software testing best practices.
- 4+ years of experience specifically in test automation using Playwright (or similar frameworks like Cypress or Selenium with fast adaptability to Playwright).
- Hands-on experience using QTest for test case management and execution.
- Working knowledge of Neoload for performance/load testing.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in dynamic environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English – must be able to integrate quickly into an English-speaking team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical QA environments (Nice to Have).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing (Nice to Have).
- Previous experience in taking over QA efforts mid-project or during critical phases (Nice to Have).
