Responsibilities

• Analyze and support Business Intelligence solutions based on business requirements and technical specifications using Microsoft Power BI.
• Test effective visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards with themes following UX guidelines and using latest features available in Power BI to guide readers through a compelling data-driven story.
• Connect to data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
• Use advance level calculations on the data set.
• Develop templates and procedures for standardization of deliverables and development process.
• Work closely with Business Analyst and developer to verify requirements met in the solution.
• Publishing reports via the Power BI service, managing them through distribution of apps and monitoring usage/data refreshes/security access.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
• Interact professionally and patiently with team members.
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
• Report bugs and errors to development teams.
• Help troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Review and analyze system specifications.
• Collaborate with development teams and other testers to develop effective strategies and test plans.
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
• Evaluate developed product according to specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of work experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in the Business Intelligence realm of reporting and data analytics.
• 1+ years’ hands-on experience in Power BI Service & Power BI Desktop.
• Strong knowledge working with BI Reporting Tool.
• Experience with BI Validator.
• Willing and able to learn other BI tools as required.
• Strong knowledge in databases, Oracle and SQL.
• Expertise and proven experience in testing of reports, dashboards, KPI scorecards, aggregating data from multiple sources.
• Strong SQL programming & excel formula skills.
• Strong Data Validation experience.
• Experience with AGILE methodologies and various types of testing, such as smoke, regression, and end-to-end functional testing.
• Detail oriented, problem-solving aptitude, analytical and inquisitive.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Extremely organized with strong time-management skills.
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
• Working knowledge of test management software, such as JIRA and SQL.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• 508 Experience is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Clearance

• The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation.

• Remote, USA.

Pay Range

• The pay for this position ranges from $73,245 to $82,395.
• The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
• Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
