[Hiring] Performance Tester @Capgemini

Role Description

Timezone: PST (working hours 12pm - 9pm Argentina Time)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance test strategies, plans, and scripts for web, mobile, API, and enterprise applications.
• Create and maintain performance test scripts using K6 and/or Apache JMeter.
• Perform load, stress, endurance, spike, and scalability testing.
• Analyze test results and identify application, database, infrastructure, and network bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, SRE, and architecture teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and support shift-left quality practices.
• Generate performance reports and provide recommendations for system optimization.
• Monitor application performance using observability and APM tools.
• Participate in capacity planning and production readiness activities.
• Support root cause analysis for performance-related incidents in non-production and production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with K6 and/or Apache JMeter.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and web applications.
• Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience analyzing JVM, application, database, and infrastructure performance metrics.
• Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, REST, TCP/IP, caching, and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL and database performance analysis.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk.
• Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins.
