[Hiring] Mid-Level QA (Mobile Automation) @CI&T

Role Description

As a Mobile QA Engineer, you will lead the quality and automation strategy for our mobile platforms. Collaborating closely with developers and product owners, you will ensure our applications deliver a seamless experience across various devices. Your expertise in mobile-specific testing will be crucial as you architect automation frameworks, particularly focusing on Android ecosystems and integrated API services.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Leadership: Lead the design and execution of comprehensive mobile test plans, serving as the subject matter expert for quality within the team.
• Automation Architecture: Build, maintain, and scale automated testing frameworks for mobile applications (Android/iOS) and backend services.
• API Testing Mastery: Architect and implement automated test suites for REST APIs to ensure data integrity and seamless communication between mobile clients and servers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with developers to implement "Shift-Left" testing and ensure high-quality software deliverables across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Release Management: Oversee the end-to-end testing cycle for mobile releases, document defects clearly, and manage root cause analysis for production issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA with a strong focus on mobile automation tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso, or UI Automator).
• Proven experience in designing and building API automation frameworks (using tools like RestAssured, Postman/Newman, or similar) to validate complex web services.
• Deep understanding of the Android platform, including ADB, emulators, and physical device testing.
• Advanced English (fluent in both verbal and written communication) to collaborate with global stakeholders.
• Experience integrating mobile and API automated tests into Continuous Integration pipelines (e.g., Bitrise, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).

Requirements

• Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with XCUITest and the iOS ecosystem.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or Python for writing robust test scripts.
• Experience with cloud-based device farms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab.
• Strong background in Agile/Scrum environments and advanced use of JIRA and/or Azure DevOps for defect management.
