[Hiring] Mid Level QA (Automation) @CI&T

Role Description

At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid Level QA (Automation) to join our team in Brazil. You will contribute to an innovative project in a collaborative, innovative, transforming, and multicultural environment.

As a Mid Level QA (Automation), you will play a crucial role in supporting the quality assurance of our software products through systematic testing and evaluation. Collaborating with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, you will help deliver high-quality software solutions that meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop test cases and execute functional, exploratory, regression, and basic performance testing under guidance from senior team members.
• Perform API testing (REST/GraphQL) using existing frameworks and contribute to expanding test coverage for key endpoints.
• Write and maintain behavior-driven development (BDD) test scenarios using Gherkin syntax to ensure clear communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support test automation initiatives using appropriate tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Assist in maintaining test data fixtures for APIs to support integration and regression testing.
• Identify and document defects, collaborating with the development team to understand root causes and support resolution efforts.
• Verify that software functionality aligns with established business rules and requirements.

Qualifications

• Must-have Skills:
• BDD/Gherkin: Proven experience writing and maintaining behavior-driven development scenarios using Gherkin syntax.
• API Testing: Experience with REST API testing and basic automation.
• Software Testing: Solid understanding of functional, regression, and exploratory testing methodologies.
• Test Documentation: Ability to create clear, comprehensive test documentation and reports.
• Defect Tracking: Experience with bug tracking and test management tools.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Analytical Skills: Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Nice-to-have Skills:
• .NET Framework: Experience with .NET applications and testing within the Microsoft technology stack.
• GraphQL/gRPC: Exposure to additional API technologies.
• Performance Testing: Basic understanding of performance testing concepts.
• Security Testing: Awareness of security testing fundamentals.
• Test Automation Tools: Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
• CI/CD: Understanding of continuous integration and delivery processes.
• Database Testing: Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
