[Hiring] Lead Automation Tester @EPAM

Role Description

We are seeking a Lead Automation Tester in JavaScript to drive mobile test automation using Appium, API testing, and web apps across iOS and Android. You will shape automation standards, apply GenAI tools/services to speed up workflows, and partner with distributed teams on coverage and reporting.

• Architect, build, and maintain a dependable automation framework for native mobile applications using Appium, API testing, and web apps.
• Establish and roll out test automation best practices, including CI/CD integration, test data management, and reporting.
• Leverage GenAI tools, services, and solutions to boost velocity in regression execution time, script updates, execution analysis, and reporting.
• Create automated test scripts that cover functional and regression testing.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Evaluate product requirements for clarity and consistency with existing features.
• Write test cases and validate defects.
• Participate in daily standups and other meetings.
• Sustain clear communication across the distributed team, including interactions with other teams.
• Deliver status reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven track record with 5+ years of experience in test automation, with a strong focus on mobile applications.
• Hands-on expertise in Appium and automation of native mobile apps for iOS and Android.
• Advanced programming skills in JS and solid proficiency in Java.
• Practical experience using GenAI tools/services, including agentic solutions, for test automation activities.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Bitrise.
• Working knowledge of Xcode, iOS simulators, and device testing.
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as TestRail.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High reliability and ability to work self-directed.
• Stress resistance for tight deadlines, evolving requirements, and undefined processes in some sub-teams.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
