[Hiring] Junior Software QA Engineer @Visual Components

Role Description

We are looking for a Junior Software QA Engineer to join our QA Team and to reinforce our team working on renewing the Visual Components platform and building future-proof features that will enable our product to grow. We support your decision if you wish to work remotely while located in Finland.

• The team members work as members of the software development teams and have their own QA team’s development goals.
• The QA team members share tasks to encourage learning in different areas and to make the team(s) more adaptable.
• The software development teams use Scrum and comprise of developers, a testing engineer, and a product owner.

Your main tasks in our QA are:

• Testing and feature verification.
• Developing scripts and test data for e.g., UI test automation or our other tooling.
• Developing testing practices and collaborating with developers.
• Being a part of our PLC development team, you will be tasked with testing Logic Modelling tools for desktop.
• You will be responsible for helping the team maintain and improve their quality standards and work with them to tackle various challenges.

Requirements

• Experience with PLC programming, including Function Block Diagram (FBD), Structured Text (ST), and Sequential Function Chart (SFC), as well as hands-on experience with platforms such as CODESYS.
• Experience with Virtual Commissioning technologies and industrial communication protocols, such as or similar to OPC UA.
• Good understanding of PLC standards, including IEC 61131-3 and IEC 61499.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with C# and/or Python is considered an advantage.
• Relevant educational background in automation technology, robotics, electrical engineering, computer science, game programming, information technology, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience is also valued.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills, as English is our primary working language.
