Role Description
We are urgently seeking a Native English-speaking LQA Specialist with game localization expertise to quality-check Korean-to-English translations for in-game content (UI, dialogues, quests, item descriptions). Ensure linguistic precision, gameplay clarity, and cultural adaptation for Western gaming audiences.
- Perform linguistic QA on Korean to English localized game assets (text strings, voice-over scripts, patch notes).
- Flag and categorize critical issues: mistranslations, placeholder errors, lore inconsistencies, tone mismatches.
- Verify compliance with game-specific terminology bibles, character limits, and platform requirements (console/PC/mobile).
- Test in-game text implementation for truncation, formatting, and UI display issues.
- Collaborate with narrative designers and developers to preserve creative intent.
- Identify cultural sensitivities in dialogues/storylines for target regions (NA/EU/ANZ).
Qualifications
- Native English fluency + professional Korean reading/writing proficiency.
- 2+ years of game LQA experience (Korean to English localization mandatory).
- Deep knowledge of gaming terminology across genres (RPGs, MMOs, F2P mobile).
- Hands-on experience with Game localization tools and Bug-tracking systems (JIRA, TestRail, Hansoft or similar).
