[Hiring] Automation QA Engineer @Betby

Role Description

We're looking for QA Automation Engineer to join our test automation team and help us build and maintain reliable automated coverage across API, UI, and trading-related functionality.

• Work closely with QA and development teams, contributing to the automation framework, expanding regression coverage, and helping keep the testing process stable and efficient.
• Combine hands-on test automation with CI/CD and infrastructure-related tasks, working with a modern and diverse technical stack.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for backend, trading, sportsbook, and backoffice functionality.
• Develop and maintain API test coverage for REST and GraphQL services.
• Work with real-time and WebSocket-based scenarios.
• Contribute to UI and visual regression testing when needed.
• Maintain and improve the automation framework and test infrastructure.
• Support and improve CI/CD-based test execution.
• Investigate and resolve flaky or unstable tests.
• Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to define effective test strategies for new features.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the automation codebase.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with Java.
• 2+ years of experience in test automation.
• Experience with betting, sportsbook, or trading-related systems.
• Hands-on experience with API test automation.
• Good understanding of REST and GraphQL testing.
• Experience with WebSocket testing.
• Practical experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Git workflows and code review practices.
• Basic knowledge of Gradle or a similar build tool.
• Ability to investigate issues and work independently with a complex test environment.

Requirements

• Experience with UI or visual regression testing (NICE TO HAVE).
• Basic Kubernetes knowledge (NICE TO HAVE).
• Experience with service stubbing or mock services (NICE TO HAVE).
• Familiarity with test reporting and issue-tracking integrations (NICE TO HAVE).
• Experience working with caching or cloud-based services (NICE TO HAVE).
