Role Description

As Airbnb pursues operational excellence, this role will drive transparency and alignment across teams to deliver exceptional products and services to our users.

• Program Leadership & Execution:
  • Lead strategic tech wide programs and initiatives that drive operational excellence and efficiency across the organization.
  • Own end-to-end program delivery—from planning and scoping through execution and impact measurement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment:
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Drive alignment across teams to ensure coordinated effort toward shared goals.
  • Facilitate regular and ad hoc leadership meetings, synthesizing discussions into clear action items, ownership, and timelines.
• Stakeholder Communication & Influence:
  • Communicate program strategy, progress, and impact to stakeholders at all levels—from executives to individual contributors.
  • Provide regular updates, solicit feedback, and proactively address blockers to maintain momentum.
  • Translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable plans that align teams and drive accountability.
• A Typical Day:
  • Deep expertise in program and change management methodologies for mid- to large-scale initiatives.
  • Leverages industry-standard project management tools to drive efficiency and transparency.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of program management experience in technology companies, with a proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs on time and within scope.
• Strategic communication skills.
• Exceptional listener who synthesizes complex discussions into clear, actionable insights.
• Translates technical concepts and strategic priorities into concise written communication tailored to diverse audiences—from engineering and data science to executive leadership.
• Adapts communication style to resonate with different functions and stakeholder groups.
• Cross-functional influence and collaboration.
• Builds trust and secures buy-in across multiple teams and levels of the organization.
• Navigates ambiguity and organizational complexity to align stakeholders around shared goals.
• Fluent in the languages of engineering, product, data science, and business operations.
• Comfort with ambiguity and complexity.
• Thrives in undefined problem spaces, bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous situations.
• Makes informed decisions and drives progress even with incomplete information.
• Identifies patterns and creates frameworks where none exist, enabling teams to move forward confidently.

Location

• This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.

Benefits

• Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
• The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
• This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
• Pay Range: $156,000 — $193,000 USD.
