Role Description

Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking an expert and initiative-taking individual for a position as a Services Project Manager within our America’s ESIB (Electronics, Semiconductor, Industrial Machinery, and Battery) organization. As a Services Project Manager, you will lead projects with numerous project delivery teams, assisting our customers in realizing the value of a PLM solution.

You will establish and communicate clear project priorities and activities to ensure effective program management. This role serves as the point of contact to align the customer, partners, and Siemens delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive Value Realization
• Work with Sales Account Owner and Engagement Management to understand the scope, value identification, and planning processes.
• Within the constraints of the contract, understand the anticipated business value the project should bring the customer.
• Align the project timeline with solution releases, resources, scope, and budget.
• Communicate the value of the project and its context within a program.
• Report status regularly and increase appropriately to drive good governance while ensuring alignment on progress, risks, issues, and overall project timeline.
• Identify and create additional opportunities out of the ongoing project and feed those to the Program- and/or Engagement Management.
• Drive the project team and customer to implement the planned solution(s) on schedule.
• Collaborate with the customer to ensure agreed KPI’s are traced and met.
• Initiate and Implement a Program Structure and Governance Model
• Work with Sales, Services Management, and any Program Manager to initiate, review and agree to a project governance model with the customer.
• Implement the project governance model in close partnership with the customer.
• Define and agree with the project roles and responsibilities with the customer.
• Conduct partner management through systematic identification, analysis, and planning actions to negotiate with and influence partners.
• Set up all required processes in alignment with all partners including appropriate communication on all levels.
• Lead the Project throughout the Project life cycle demonstrating Siemens Delivery Framework
• Review the contract and derive actions concerning risks, opportunities, and contractual obligations.
• Proactively supervise the project’s overall progress, resolve issues, and initiate corrective and preventive action as appropriate.
• Lead customer requirements and project scope to achieve project objectives.
• Perform project risk management including planning, identification, analysis, response planning, and controlling.
• Lead and resolve issues with all vital internal and external partners.
• Implement project change management process.
• Lead the project timeline to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure the planned project communications on all levels including customer concern procedures and project progress reporting.
• Perform quality management and lead compliance with standards, rules, and regulations.
• Follow the procurement processes.
• Perform project reviews and retrospectives regularly and feed the results and lessons learned to the project and organization.
• Lead the Project Team
• Agree targets with project staff and delegate defined responsibilities and authority.
• Actively seek and provide feedback from project team members, managers, and customers.
• Support team members’ personal development.
• Involve the project and project team in the identification and management of changes.
• Work with Services Management and Procurement Manager to manage business partners and subcontractors.
• Lead Project Financials
• Deliver the project to the approved budget and agreed margin.
• Regularly review and lead the project budget.
• Measure project performance and provide regularly a realistic project forecast.
• Incorporate project risks from risk assessments into project budget.
• Work with services administration to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition for the project.
• Identify and minimize non-conformance costs in the project.
• Project Leadership
• Lead and be responsible for the project and encourage strategic decision making.
• Set and realign partner expectations.
• Actively establish relationships with partners.
• Build, inspire and empower an effective team.
• Ensure team members have the materials and equipment to complete their tasks.
• Firm Building Leadership
• Supply to firm building activities such as delivery of training, development of training content, best practice development, and sharing experiences.
• Support improvement initiatives in the project, any program, and organization.
• General
• Support the organizational culture, values, and reputation in company markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory/official bodies.
• Willing and available to work the core hours required by DISW or specified by the customer project, respecting local country legislation and company policies.
• Willingness and ability to travel 25% - 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a project manager or delivery leader role, with a project track record of leading projects for enterprise-scale clients in a SaaS product company.
• Excellent executive communication and leadership skills, with credibility across senior customer partners and internal cross-functional teams.
• Strong command of delivery fundamentals, including scope management, achievement planning, dependency management, risk management, executive reporting, and customer concerns.
• Comfort operating in technical environments, paired with strong Services eye for business across delivery economics, resource planning, commercial awareness, and engagement health.
• Proven problem-solving ability, strong judgment, and comfort navigating ambiguity, tradeoffs, and sophisticated delivery decisions.
• Shown leadership delivering outcomes across cross-functional teams and customer partners, with the ability to influence, align, and drive accountability without direct authority.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• Experience interacting directly with executives.
• Knowledge of Agile or SAFe delivery execution, and ability to plan within and outside these existing frameworks.
• Practical experience driving governance and creating implementation methodologies from scratch.
• Previous leadership experience with Enterprise PLM, ERP, or MES implementations with project budgets over $1M US.
• Ability to lead a group of professional architects and consultants during software implementation to achieve results.

Benefits

• The total cash compensation range for this position is $125,300 – $250,600 with 10% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target.
