[Hiring] Senior Project Manager - Power Delivery @WSP

Role Description

The Senior Power Delivery Project Manager provides technical, administrative, and commercial project management leadership for the development, execution, delivery, and monitoring of Power Delivery projects, including electric transmission, distribution, and substation initiatives, within a defined geographic region, utility client base, or technical discipline.

• Supports utility capital programs and Power Delivery portfolios by ensuring all responsibilities across the full project lifecycle are executed, documented, and audited in accordance with WSP project management standards, Power Delivery best practices, and client requirements.
• Provides practical leadership, process improvement, and innovative solutions to address schedule, cost, risk, quality, and stakeholder management challenges within a dynamic, regulated, and evolving Power Delivery and energy infrastructure environment.
• This position will be based out of Texas or Louisiana with the ability to work remotely from any mutually acceptable location in the southeast region.
• Must have the ability to travel to a WSP and/or Client office for periodic face-to-face meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical), Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience within an A/E/C, utility, EPC, or power delivery consulting environment.
• 15+ years of progressive post-education experience in a project management or senior technical leadership role, preferably supporting power delivery, transmission & distribution (T&D), substation, or utility capital projects.
• Highly proficient understanding of the project delivery lifecycle within the A/E/C and utility industries.
• Advanced analytical and organizational skills with demonstrated business and commercial acumen.
• Advanced proficiency in critical thinking, risk-based decision-making, and problem-solving.
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated self-leadership and accountability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Advanced proficiency in technical writing, project documentation, and project management software.
• Strong experience managing the review, approval, and coordination of discipline-specific deliverables.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and gain cooperation from a broad range of stakeholders.
• Proven commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental performance.
• Strong ability to adapt to changing project demands.
• Willingness to support occasional travel to client sites, regional offices, and project locations.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Engineering (preferred).
• Essential project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAP-M) (preferred).
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE License) (preferred).
