Role Description

The Senior Project Manager role involves leading complex software implementation and legacy modernization projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the planning and execution of complex software implementation and legacy modernization projects.
• Develop detailed project plans using Microsoft Project and Jira, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with client expectations and contract terms.
• Implement and advocate Agile practices within the project team, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams to ensure successful delivery of project milestones.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates on progress, risks, and issues, and ensuring timely resolution of any challenges.
• Manage fixed-price contracts, ensuring projects are delivered within the agreed budget and timelines.
• Monitor project financials, ensuring profitability, and managing any scope changes through formal change control processes.
• Establish and track key performance metrics to monitor project health, including on-time delivery, budget adherence, and resource utilization.
• Utilize data and metrics to drive decision-making, continuous improvement, and to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
• Proactively manage and resolve project risks, issues, and conflicts as they arise.
• Lead cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project managers and team members, promoting best practices in project management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in project management with a focus on software implementation and legacy modernization projects.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in Jira and Microsoft Project for project tracking, planning, and reporting.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in leading Agile teams.
• Strong experience managing fixed-price projects, with a focus on meeting budget and schedule constraints.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Metrics-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze data and drive project performance.
• Experience in managing projects within the GovTech sector, understanding of government procurement and contracting processes.

Requirements

• Experience Range: 3 - 10 years
