Role Description

We seek a highly strategic, deeply organized Senior Project Manager to lead our complex, cross-category innovation and commercialization initiatives. The ideal candidate brings advanced project leadership experience who does not only monitor progress and manage timelines, budgets, and risks, but also shapes project strategy, drives cross-functional alignment, and anticipates challenges before they surface. As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee and influence multiple high-impact projects through the Stage-Gate process, ensuring disciplined execution, stakeholder confidence, and consistent on-time delivery across a fast-moving innovation pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Project Leadership:
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams through complex innovation projects.
  • Build strategic project frameworks, challenge assumptions, and proactively identify risks and bottlenecks.
  • Drive accountability across teams and elevate issues to leadership when needed.
• Project Management Responsibilities:
  • Lead high-level, cross-functional project meetings, ensuring alignment across diverse teams.
  • Design, refine, and lead complex project timelines using Monday.com.
  • Oversee end-to-end project performance using advanced documentation and risk modeling.
  • Drive accountability at all levels and ensure cross-functional partners meet commitments.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration around clear objectives and commercialization requirements.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Coach, mentor, and elevate project managers and commercialization team members.
• Stage-Gate Process:
  • Support projects through the stage gate process, ensuring adherence to defined gates.
  • Partner with the Innovation Director in preparing for gate reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Innovation Director to ensure key stakeholders are aligned.
  • Provide training on stage gate and commercialization to new team members.
  • Implement robust post-launch evaluations to capture learnings.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Facilitate collaboration across product development, marketing, manufacturing, and other departments.
  • Promote clear communication and teamwork to manage interdependencies.
  • Serve as the senior liaison between project teams and leadership.
• Resource Management:
  • Partner with stakeholders to secure the right resources for innovation projects.
  • Prioritize work across teams to optimize efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Analyze project data to identify trends and productivity opportunities.
  • Champion a culture of learning and process optimization.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen commercialization discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 5-8 years experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects with high ambiguity and visibility.
• Expert in project management methodologies, risk mitigation, and strategic prioritization.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in using project management software and collaboration tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional communicator with strong executive presence and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• People manager experience preferred.
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Project managed in a remote environment preferred.
