Position Summary
The Senior Manager within the Advisory PM/RDM Operations team is responsible for the successful delivery and completion of Coalfire’s professional services projects as either the lead project manager or by supervising a team of project managers through their client engagements. Senior Managers will also contribute to process improvement and general practice development for the Advisory PM/RDM Operations team. Senior Managers will be highly skilled with project management best practices, understand the complex needs of clients pursuing a new compliance certification, and have the ability to support Coalfire’s business by driving consistent execution, client risk management, and ongoing change and process improvement.
What You'll Do
Working independently and collaboratively with a team to support and deliver assigned work activitiesManaging assigned team: monitoring team’s performance, completing annual and midyear reviews, conducting regular 1:1 meetings, mentoring/coaching team members through all project management phases, providing time off coverage, tracking team growth and expansion needs, and completing any other tasks required to manage a high performing team of project managersCollaborating with the Advisory PM/RDM Operations Director to develop/update project management procedures with the goal to standardize our delivery approach, reporting, and optimization efforts across all advisory projectsLeverages technology and automation to help optimize workflows, drive innovation, and enhance operational efficiency Creating or updating training materials and providing on-going coaching to individual project managers to ensure readiness to manage projects consistently and deliver projects with excellenceWorking closely with the Advisory PM/RDM Operations Director to achieve delivery utilization targetsEscalating client and project issues to the Advisory PM/RDM Operations Director to inform and engage the necessary resources to address issuesTake the lead in risk reporting and identify high risk clients and escalate ideas to director Collaborating with the Advisory PM/RDM Operations Director, the quality management team, the sales team, and the advisory delivery team members to drive for the best customer experienceServing as a subject matter expert on all advisory projectsExecuting and controlling project management work as an individual and providing oversight of assigned team’s performance on client engagementsGuiding projects through proactive risk identification, mitigation and issues managementManaging overall project coordination: scheduling, assigning tasks, enabling clear and consistent client communication, and escalating issues when necessary to ensure successful resolution and project completionCreating and executing project work plans and revising those work plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirementsLeading project status meetings to include information regarding schedules, data requirements & assignmentsCommunicating project resources needed and collaborating with teams to assign individual responsibilitiesInterfacing with clients through entire engagement and interacting with numerous levels of client organizationsEstablishing and maintaining a positive, collaborative relationships with clientsTravel up to 25% possibleWhat You'll Bring
7+ years of project management or equivalent job experience3+ years of external client facing experience1+ years of proven leadership experience (manager, supervisor, or team lead)1+ years of experience in adapting technology automations into process improvement strategiesStrong thought leadership in integrating process improvement strategiesAbility to proactively take the lead on client and project escalation and ongoing risk managementUnderstanding of project/practice management best practices and proven success with leading cross functional project teams independently for the full project lifecycleExcellent communication skills including executive level communication experienceHybrid and Agile delivery methodology experienceUnderstanding of the essential business practices of a project management team within a professional consulting organizationStrong presentation and organizational skillsBonus Points
