Role Description

The Senior Technology Project Manager will provide technical project management, roadmap/program planning, technical dependency mapping, and vendor management/oversight of diverse set of digital banking transformation projects. They will lead and facilitate planning and help project and product teams execute on their objectives leveraging a deep technical background, coupled with Agile behaviors and mindset.

The role is an independent leader who works with minimal direction to guide the client, internal, and vendor project teams. The role builds strong interpersonal relationships with peers, leaders, and stakeholders and is viewed as a trusted partner who understands and advocates their desired outcomes and objectives.

Candidate must have worked directly with digital banking platforms, understand the intricacies of entitlements, payments, templates, and treasury/SMB/retail configuration data, and can rapidly interpret new data sources when required. This position plays a pivotal role in data analysis, bank merger integration, platform conversion efforts, and ongoing enterprise support.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of technology consulting projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
• Assemble and lead project teams, identify the appropriate resources needed for project execution, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects, while controlling for project cost, quality, schedule, and scope.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, managing client expectations and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
• Partner with product manager in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to identify dependencies to help remove impediments for the team to deliver value.
• Demonstrate understanding of the business value of the project and its broader impact on programs, initiatives, and the enterprise.
• Actively manage stakeholder partnerships, identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Contribute and/or be familiar with defining the project’s scope and objectives of the desired outcomes, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
• Oversee the interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects.
• Possess specialized knowledge of SDLC and project frameworks used to manage delivery of technology projects.
• Exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of banking experience (ideally within Commercial/Treasury and/or merger, acquisition, conversion experience).
• 7-10+ years of technical experience, delivery focused, hands-on, self-starter.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and use independent judgment to analyze variable factors and determine the best course of action.
• Ability to make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
• Experience with Agile/Kanban project management methodology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant information technology field (Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, etc.).
