[Hiring] Senior Databricks Project Manager @Stitch Consulting Services, Inc.

Role Description

As a Senior Databricks Project Manager, you are the first project management hire dedicated to Stitch’s Databricks team. You own integrated project plans, budgets, risk mitigation, and change control for medium to large data and IT engagements.

• Operate as a project owner, not just a project manager.
• Understand why the work matters to get buy-in and influence timelines.
• Select and tailor methodology (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) based on project needs.
• Manage vendor and client IT delivery, enforce governance, and present risks to client leadership.
• Write for multiple audiences: executive summaries, decision memos, steering committee decks.
• Help set the standard for how Stitch delivers Databricks engagements through your own execution.

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of project management consulting experience or applicable experience.
• 2–5 years of IT or data consulting experience or applicable experience (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, data engineering, cloud data platforms, enterprise IT implementations).
• Consulting or agency background preferred.
• Marketing technology familiarity (e.g., Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe, Oracle) is a plus.
• PM certifications (PMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or equivalent) are a plus.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Client-facing experience within an agency or consultancy required.
• Knowledge of AI code editors (e.g., Cursor) is a plus.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Own integrated project plans: scope, schedule, cost, dependencies.
• Manage critical path and scenario planning.
• Own budgets and forecasts: track burn, perform variance analysis, re-baseline when needed.
• Own risk mitigation and issue resolution: document mitigation vs. contingency.
• Drive buy-in across client IT, data, and business stakeholders.
• Influence timelines and challenge IT defaults.
• Select and tailor Stitch’s SEW delivery methodology based on project context.
• Design project dashboards and automated reporting.
• Manage cross-team dependencies across client IT, data engineering, security, and vendors.
• Write for multiple audiences: executive summaries, decision memos, steering committee decks, detailed delivery plans.
• Partner with Databricks practice leadership to define and build repeatable PM standards.
• Manage your time to meet billable targets of 36+ hours per week.
• Travel up to 20% for client meetings, workshops, and onsite engagements.
