[Hiring] Senior Capital Improvement Project Manager @Montgomery County

Role Description

This position will implement the County's policies related to the elimination of GHG, the development of resiliency, and the implementation of the County’s Building Energy Performance Standards. The work in this position will be accomplished through:

• Performance of building studies
• Facility project planning, design, and construction using contractual A/E Services and Construction contractors
• Interaction with County citizens and departments to facilitate the design and construction of projects
• Reports, presentations, and onsite observation of the work during construction, including final installation commissioning
• Development of EV charging facilities and microgrid P3 contracts for design, construction, and operation
• Synthesizing data to provide reports and presentations demonstrating the status and progress of the Department/County’s performance
• Applying for utility rebates (EmpowerMD) and grant programs (Private, Local, State, or Federal)

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years professional experience in an architectural or engineering discipline
• Master’s degree in architecture, mechanical/structural/civil/electrical or environmental engineering, or related engineering discipline
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, including at least 24 credits of graduate level coursework in engineering, architecture, construction, or related courses
• Licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) by the state of Maryland
• Possession and maintenance of Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
• Valid Class C (or equivalent) driver’s license from the applicant’s state of residence

Requirements

• Five (5) years professional experience in architectural or engineering discipline for grade 27
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Electrical or Environmental Engineering, or related engineering discipline for grade 27
• Three (3) years professional experience in architectural or engineering discipline for grade 25
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for grade 25
• Licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) licensed by the State of Maryland
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Class "C" (or equivalent) driver’s license from the applicant's state of residence
