[Hiring] Senior Business Analyst @steampunk

Role Description

As a Steampunk Business Analyst / Scrum Master, you’ll be asked to serve as the Scrum Master and Business Analyst on an Agile software development team.

• A Scrum Master must have experience managing Agile/Information Technology related projects and must be well versed in software development life cycle and project management methodologies.
• Oversee scrum team for key high-priority project for the client.
• Identify and mitigate risks.
• Excellent communication skills to work with key stakeholders/customers to support planning and delivery of technical IT development Agile projects.
• Help define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.
• Prepare and distribute progress reports.
• Manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans.
• Perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
• Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments.
• Remove roadblocks to their work; leverage organizational resources to improve capacity for project work.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Support managing customer expectations for project deliverables and stakeholder communications.
• Implement an effective system of project governance.
• Primary focus is making sure the teams are effective and focused on their work.
• Coach the teams in their understanding of the delivery process, the agile mindset, and client values.
• Help the team use their time wisely and avoid distractions.
• Serve business engagement by ensuring team issues are escalated, worked, and resolved.

As a Business Analyst, you will lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization, concept development, and feature writing to support development and deployment.

• Apply different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epics into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team.
• Document Acceptance Criteria in stories in a way that both development team and business stakeholders can understand and agree on the content.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• 5+ years experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies.
• 5+ years experience serving as the Product Owner or Scrum Master or Business Analyst.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence.
• Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions.
• Flexibility to work with teams, individuals, and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
• Experience working in a studio/human-centered design approach.

Requirements

• Preferred: CSM, PSM, and/or SAFe certification.
• Preferred: Salesforce experience.

Benefits

• Projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000.
