[Hiring] Senior Agile Transformation Coach @BRMi

Role Description

BRMi is seeking a Sr. Agile Transformation Coach to support a large financial services enterprise client to lead, coach, train, and mentor employees at all levels of the organization on Agile principles. Work is performed under general direction.

• Teach, lead, and mentor cross-functional business groups to build, sustain, and strengthen Agile values, SAFe and scrum concepts and practices.
• Identify and coach Agile evangelists across the organization who can act as informal mentors/peers.
• Coach teams in scrum tasks (e.g., sprint planning, user story mapping, estimations, daily stand ups, demos, retrospective discussions, etc.).
• Ensure Agile project metrics are tracked and monitored for indications of potential problem areas.
• Identify need and provide structured and ad-hoc training in Agile principles and practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify specific areas of training and coaching.
• Lead the coaching and planning of multiple high-performing Agile development teams.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to employees at all levels on Lean Agile, Agile, and SAFe principles.
• Prepare a variety of communication artifacts related to the Agile practice, progress, and plans.
• Develop and deliver presentations to various levels of stakeholders.
• Effectively leverage and combine different industry standard scaling concepts to specific business problems.
• Provide strategic thought leadership during engagements on approaches to overcome impediments to accelerated delivery.
• Foster strong communication and collaboration between teams to align program goals.
• Ensure appropriate risk management and control practices are integrated into the lifecycle of Agile initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with lines of business, team members, management, and key stakeholders.
• Continuously identify opportunities for improvement for implementing Agile tools and best practices.
• Lead Agile teams through product framing and discovery.
• Drive consistent Agile practices and strategy across the organization.
• Ensure Agile concepts and principles are adhered to.
• May lead, guide, and mentor Agile Coach team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Significant experience working in an Agile environment as a Senior Agile Coach.
• Experience in successful Agile transformation at scale in large enterprise organizations.
• Significant experience with different Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, XP, SAFe, etc.).
• Significant experience in coaching and developing people and teams.
• Significant experience in working with JIRA or Microsoft Azure Boards.
• Experience working with senior executives and proven ability to effectively communicate and influence decisions.
• Significant experience in leading Agile training sessions, workshops, and creating required documentation.
• Advanced knowledge of Agile principles and practices.
• Strong emotional intelligence and organizational awareness.
• Advanced critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced skill to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms.
• Advanced skill in motivating and uplifting team members.
• Advanced verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills.
• Effective skill to influence, negotiate, and persuade.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal functions, philosophy, operations, and organizational objectives.
• SAFe Program Consultant certification.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
