Role Description

Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Agile Business Analyst/Tester to support KPS and our government customer. The position is remote and requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

The Senior Agile Business Analyst / Tester will manage and oversee complex technology initiatives from requirements definition through testing and implementation. This role requires a strong combination of:

• Technical knowledge
• Agile business analysis
• User story development
• UAT testing
• JIRA expertise
• Program management support

The Senior Agile Business Analyst/Tester will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, developers, QA teams, and program leadership.

• Translate business needs into clear technical requirements
• Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
• Coordinate UAT activities
• Manage defects and resolve blockers
• Provide delivery support across multiple workstreams

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, technical teams, and program leadership to understand business objectives, processes, and technology needs.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate functional and technical requirements.
• Create and maintain epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, process flows, and supporting documentation.
• Write clear, detailed, and testable user stories that can be readily understood and implemented by development and QA teams.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and development teams to refine and prioritize the product backlog.
• Support Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
• Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies, test scenarios, test cases, and validation plans.
• Coordinate UAT activities with business users, QA, development, and product teams.
• Validate that delivered functionality meets documented business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track blockers and defects through resolution.
• Use JIRA to manage requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, defects, tasks, sprint activities, and reporting.
• Analyze technical issues and work collaboratively with developers and technical leads to understand root causes and determine appropriate solutions.
• Develop an understanding of applications, integrations, APIs, databases, data flows, environments, and system dependencies sufficient to effectively support technical delivery.
• Support end-to-end software development and implementation activities, including requirements, development, testing, release, and post-production support.
• Track project and program-level risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and action items.
• Provide program management support, including status reporting, milestone tracking, meeting coordination, RAID management, dependency tracking, and preparation of management-level updates.
• Coordinate activities across multiple teams and workstreams to support delivery schedules and program milestones.
• Assist with release readiness activities and ensure outstanding defects, requirements, and UAT issues are appropriately addressed.
• Identify opportunities to improve business analysis, testing, Agile delivery, and program processes.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and provide clear communication regarding requirements, testing status, risks, issues, and delivery progress.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, QA Analyst/Tester, or similar role within technology delivery environments.
• Substantial experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements.
• Extensive experience writing user stories and detailed acceptance criteria.
• Strong hands-on experience with UAT planning coordination, execution, and defect management.
• Advanced experience with JIRA, including managing user stories, epics, tasks, defects, workflows, dashboards, and reports.
• Strong technical understanding of software applications, system integrations, APIs, databases, data flows, and SDLC processes.
• Experience working directly with software development and QA teams.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical requirements and test scenarios.
• Experience creating test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and traceability between requirements and testing.
• Experience identifying, documenting, prioritizing, and tracking blockers and defects through resolution.
• Experience supporting program and project management activities, including risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across multiple teams and workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, or similar certification.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
• ISTQB, CSTE, or other software testing certification.
• Experience with Salesforce, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or comparable Agile/ALM tools, Power BI, Tableau.
• Experience working with APIs, SQL, data validation, or other technical analysis tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale technology transformation or modernization programs.
• Experience working with distributed or cross-functional technology teams.
