Role Description

Gainwell Technologies is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery teams in driving successful execution of healthcare AI projects and transformation initiatives. The Scrum Master will:

• Facilitate Agile/Scrum processes and ensure successful execution of sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and release planning activities.
• Have detailed AI project experience, having worked on at least 4-5 large scale AI Engineering Projects.
• Guide Scrum teams in adopting and following Agile principles, Scrum framework, and organizational Agile best practices to improve team efficiency and delivery predictability.
• Identify, track, and proactively remove blockers or impediments impacting team productivity and project timelines.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Teams, Engineering Teams, QA Teams, Architects, and leadership stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, scope, and delivery expectations.
• Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile mindset, Scrum principles, servant leadership, continuous improvement, and Agile maturity enhancement.
• Monitor project progress using Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, sprint health, release tracking, and team performance indicators. Provide regular status updates and reports to leadership.
• Coordinate across distributed onsite and offshore teams to ensure smooth communication, dependency management, and delivery synchronization.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and escalation points early and drive mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.
• Be experienced in using Agile project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Rally, Trello, or similar platforms.
• Ensure compliance with organizational governance standards, Agile delivery frameworks, documentation standards, and project management processes.
• Support enterprise Agile transformation initiatives and contribute toward scaling Agile practices across teams and programs.
• Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders and ensure transparency in project execution and delivery status.
• Support resource planning, onboarding coordination, and collaboration across multiple Agile teams when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
• 9+ years of overall IT industry experience with at least 5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
• Must have at least 4-5 large scale AI Engineering project experience.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean Agile, and DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing multiple Agile teams in enterprise-scale environments.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including Engineering, QA, Product Management, Business Analysis, and Architecture teams.
• Strong knowledge of Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and team facilitation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
• Experience managing distributed onsite-offshore delivery teams is preferred.
• Scrum certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
• Experience in healthcare technology projects and understanding of healthcare compliance standards is a plus.
