Role Description

We are hiring a Release Train Engineer / Developer with strong mainframe skills to coordinate and deliver releases across a major lending platform built on FIS ALS. This is a delivery-and-coordination role at the centre of the programme:

• Orchestrate the release train across development, testing, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Act as the communication bridge between Product Management, Product Owners, Scrum Teams, business users, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong mainframe skills — COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 (and ideally Coolgen / IEF, the technology underpinning ALS).
• Experience coordinating releases across dev, test, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Hands-on planning of SIT / UAT / Pre-Prod / Production deployments and cut-over.
• Exposure to FIS ALS or a comparable lending / core-banking platform.
• Change and configuration management (e.g. Endevor / Changeman), scheduling (Control-M / CA7), Connect:Direct.
• Comfortable managing tiered environments (Dev / Test / UAT / Pre-Prod / Production / DR).

Requirements

• Release Train Engineer experience in a SAFe / Agile environment (PI planning, scrum-of-scrums).
• Lending domain knowledge (loan origination, servicing, commercial lending, credit).
• Experience with vendor release cycles and patch management on a packaged banking product.
• Core Banking and Treasury interface integration experience.
