Role Description

BNS is seeking a Project Performance & Insights Analyst to transform project and operational data into clear, actionable information that allows project teams, customers, and executive leadership to quickly understand where a project stands, where it is expected to be, and where attention may be needed. This role will support large-scale projects and programs, including work with leading technology and AI companies.

The Analyst will bring together information from sources such as Jira, project plans, Excel spreadsheets, milestone schedules, and other project management systems and turn that information into meaningful dashboards, visualizations, health indicators, and executive-level reporting. This is not simply a reporting role. The successful candidate will help BNS establish a more disciplined approach to how project data is structured, collected, maintained, and communicated.

This person will work directly with Project Managers and project teams to identify the information needed to accurately measure progress, establish meaningful metrics, and create a consistent view of project and program health. The ideal candidate is someone who can look at a relatively simple or imperfect data set and ask, “What does this actually tell us?” and then turn the answer into a visualization that a Project Manager or executive can understand in seconds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Project Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience developing dashboards, reports, visualizations, or business intelligence solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to transform raw or imperfect data into meaningful information and actionable insights.
• Experience working with project, operational, or business data.
• Strong understanding of project performance concepts such as:
  • Milestones
  • Critical path
  • Burndown
  • Planned vs. actual
  • Completion percentage
  • RAG status
  • Risk and issue tracking
  • KPIs
• Ability to work with data from multiple sources and identify relationships between data sets.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Project Managers, technical teams, and executives.
• Ability to explain data and insights to individuals who may not have a technical or analytical background.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Requirements

• Power BI, Tableau, Domo, Qlik, or similar business intelligence platforms.
• Jira or other project/task management platforms.
• Excel and advanced spreadsheet capabilities.
• SQL or experience working with structured data sources.
• Experience developing web-based or internally hosted dashboards.
• Experience supporting large-scale technology, infrastructure, engineering, or customer programs.
• Experience establishing data standards or improving data quality.
• Experience working in a Microsoft technology environment.
• Experience using AI and emerging technologies to improve data analysis, reporting, visualization, and business decision-making.

Work Environment

This position will work across multiple BNS project teams and may support high-visibility customer programs. The role requires the ability to manage multiple data sources and priorities while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and a strong customer-service mindset. This is a remote position.
