[Hiring] Project Manager / Training Instructor @Agile Group

Role Description

Agile Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Training Instructor to join our growing U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Department of Defense (DoD) training team. This is a hands-on role for an accomplished project management practitioner who can teach. The successful candidate will support the development and delivery of project management, scheduling, project controls, and related professional development programs for USACE and other Federal/DoD customers. This is not a traditional classroom-only instructor position. We are looking for someone who has managed complex projects and programs firsthand and can translate that experience into practical, engaging instruction for experienced professionals. The position is fully remote when not supporting on-site activities and requires significant domestic and international travel, including recurring multi-week assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led project and program management training for USACE and other Federal/DoD customers.
• Facilitate multi-day and multi-week professional training programs.
• Teach project management concepts from foundational through advanced practitioner levels.
• Lead exercises, workshops, simulations, case studies, team projects, and practical problem-solving activities.
• Provide instruction in project planning and execution, scope, schedule, cost, risk, stakeholder management, project controls, performance management, leadership, and communication.
• Translate project management principles into practical application for engineering, construction, infrastructure, government, and mission environments.
• Develop and refine curriculum, lesson plans, instructor guides, student materials, exercises, and assessments.
• Incorporate scheduling and project controls into broader project management instruction.
• Support instruction involving Oracle Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), and related project management technologies.
• Collaborate with USACE stakeholders, Agile team members, technical SMEs, partner organizations, and other instructors.
• Adapt instructional delivery for diverse, multicultural, and international audiences.
• Support Agile's broader portfolio of USACE project management, scheduling, project controls, and enterprise training programs.

• Become a trusted, long-term member of Agile's USACE training team.
• Contribute across project management, scheduling, project controls, Primavera, curriculum development, and professional training.
• Establish credibility with experienced project managers, engineers, schedulers, and government professionals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on project/program management experience managing complex projects or programs.
• Demonstrated experience teaching or facilitating project management concepts to adult professionals.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling and project controls, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, and performance.
• PMP certification or equivalent demonstrated senior-level project management expertise.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively, domestically and internationally, including recurring multi-week assignments.
• Experience in Federal/DoD, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or similarly complex project environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting USACE, DoD, or another Federal agency.
• Familiarity with USACE Project Management Business Process (PMBP) and Project Delivery Team environments.
• Experience with engineering, construction, infrastructure, or major capital programs.
• Experience with Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and integrated project controls.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 and/or Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC).
• Experience developing project management or scheduling curriculum.
• Experience delivering multi-day or multi-week professional training.
• Experience delivering training internationally or to multicultural audiences.
• Experience working with interpreters or translated instructional materials.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in project management, engineering, construction management, business, or a related discipline.
