[Hiring] Project Manager/Scrum Master @Steampunk

Steampunk is seeking a Project Manager who is creative and is a hands-on expert with delivering innovative technology solutions. Responsibilities will include:

• Team leadership for the complete life cycle of solution development and delivery.
• Providing Agile Project Management support and Scrum Master support for Agile teams.
• Coordinating with product owners and stakeholders on prioritizing the backlog.
• Creating release schedules and roadmaps based on assessment recommendations.
• Establishing technical practices and release management standards that align with the customer's process.
• Ensuring the team is following and effective at Agile scrum processes.
• Driving high client satisfaction.

As a Project Manager, you will be leading the project tasking and delivery in a government client consulting environment. You will be a client liaison, team coach, and mentor. You will also:

• Manage and maintain successful/results-oriented relationships with the client.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities with existing clients.
• Develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives.
• Manage remote project delivery teams.
• Facilitate technical discussions to troubleshoot project implementation issues.
• Assess the current organization and delivery environment and recommend optimal Agile practices tailored to the client.
• Provide Agile Scrum Master support and attend Agile ceremonies.
• Remove blockers to ensure project success.
• Coach the Product Owner and team on backlog refinement and prioritization.
• Handle challenging client situations and offer technical and business guidance to client executives.
• Lead and manage staff, monitor staff performance.
• Evaluate project feasibility, eliminate non-productive tasking, and find creative ways to ensure project delivery.
• Assist staff with training needs to create skills expansion and career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience.
• 5+ years managing IT projects using agile methodologies and approaches.
• 5+ years experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies.
• Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence.
• Flexibility to work with teams, individuals, and executives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working in a complex engineering environment.

Requirements

• Experience working in a studio/human-centered design approach (preferred).
• PMP and Scrum Master certification (preferred).

Benefits

• The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $175,000.
• Annual salary is just one aspect of Steampunk’s total compensation package for employees.
