Role Description

The Operations Project Manager supports the goals and objectives of the Clinical Engineering operations team. This position is responsible for relationship and resource management, project planning, tactical execution, and the generation of final project deliverables. The Operations Project Manager collaborates with senior management and stakeholders to meet business objectives and provides professional leadership and mentorship, fostering respect and trust, to inspire others to pursue excellence.

Responsibilities

• Project Management (40 %)
  • Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans.
  • Implement company-wide Operational Excellence initiatives to improve quality, safety, delivery, and cost.
  • Design new and improved processes based on input from the clinical engineering team.
  • Manage project resources, constraints, and objectives to produce quality deliverables within deadlines and budgets.
  • Travel to sites and/or work with other Central Office associates for data collection and analysis.
  • Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training and education.
  • Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status.
• Leadership (30 %)
  • Serve as a resource and mentor, identifying opportunities for improved efficiency.
  • Monitor overall service delivery metrics.
  • Promote team growth and development through coaching and mentoring.
  • Liaise between team, management, and customers to ensure project deliverables meet needs.
  • Foster respect, trust, and openness with team members and customers.
  • Influence coworkers and customers to build consensus and adopt initiatives.
• Communication (20 %)
  • Communicate relevant project information to all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Translate client needs into solutions and complex information into a customer-friendly format.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
  • Interact professionally with external customers and end users to resolve issues.
• Regulatory Compliance (10 %)
  • Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and regulatory agency compliances.
  • Audit the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database.
  • Ensure all service documentation is complete, timely, and accurate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience in a related field (4 years).
• PMP or CAPM preferred, but not required.
• Experience with various project delivery methodologies.
• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience with IT systems and processes.
