Role Description

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the financial planning, governance, and operational execution of a complex Supply Chain Technology portfolio. This role serves as a key liaison between Technology, Finance, and business stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and budget management across multiple initiatives and funding sources. The Project Manager is accountable for maintaining fiscal calendars, coordinating budgeting cycles, tracking operating and capital expenditures, monitoring Accounts Payable activities, and supporting financial variance analysis and reporting.

This position requires strong financial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across cross-functional teams. The Project Manager partners closely with technology leaders, finance teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure financial commitments are met, risks are proactively identified, and portfolio investments align with strategic objectives. While supporting project delivery activities as needed, the primary focus of this role is the ongoing management, reporting, and governance of the financial health of a mixed technology portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• 75% - Delivery & Execution
  • Establishes and executes effective communication with Project Stakeholders.
  • Partners with stakeholders to lead the project planning effort, including the formulation of the project scope, definition of the project deliverables and the required delivery dates, creation of a logical work breakdown structure, and definition of major project milestones.
  • Understands organizational/initiative goals and success criteria to apply to project work.
  • Ability and understanding of project plans and development, risk identification & mitigation.
  • Applies lessons learned to inform future initiatives.
  • Creates, monitors, tracks, and adjusts project plans based on critical milestones for a project or group of initiatives.
  • Assists in development, then executes change management process and activities within Technology organization.
  • Works with stakeholders to determine and align dependencies, then proactively identifies risks and issues via identification and mitigation plans.
• 25% - Resource & Financial Management
  • Executes fiscal management and reporting for operational, product/business, technology, and vendor stakeholders; includes gross labor, capital spend, and non-labor forecasting for tracking, reporting, and variance analysis.

• Position Reports to Senior Director, Pro Paint.
• Position has 0 direct reports.

Travel Requirements

• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Physical Requirements

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.
• On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions

• Located in a comfortable indoor area.
• Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills for financial analysis, reporting, and budget tracking.
• Proficient knowledge of Tableau and data visualization/reporting tools.
• Proficient knowledge of Google BigQuery (GBQ).
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, invoice management, accruals, and financial reconciliation activities.
• Ability to analyze financial data and draw accurate conclusions to support business and investment decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage portfolio financials, including operating expenses, capital expenses, labor tracking, and vendor spend.
• Strong organizational skills with experience managing complex fiscal calendars, budget cycles, and financial planning activities.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including Technology, Finance, Procurement, and business leaders.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Experience identifying, managing, and mitigating financial and operational risks.
• Experience supporting financial governance and reporting for technology or business portfolios.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Technology Finance, IT financial management, or technology portfolio governance.
• Experience managing mixed portfolios of operational and capital investments.
• Experience with financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting within a large enterprise environment.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or similar certification.

Minimum Education

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Salary Information

For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nevada, New York City, Ithaca (NY), Westchester County (NY), and Washington residents: The pay range for this position is between $65,000.00 - $180,000.00.
