[Hiring] Project Manager @University of Otago

Role Description

Come join the University and be part of its success as the University’s cyber security Project Manager for our roadmap of projects!

You will be part of our exciting roadmap of cyber security projects, getting the opportunity to lead cyber projects that help our whole University Community. You will manage the end-to-end delivery of challenging, high-value cyber projects, working within the Digital Projects Office, and the wider Digital Services team. You will take ownership of the projects from concept to closure, and will liaise closely with all stakeholders, vendors, and users.

• Working closely with our CISO, leading multiple projects within our cyber security roadmap.
• Managing projects end to end, working with technical experts, wider digital services, and stakeholders across our whole university community.
• Working in a growing digital projects team with a chance to contribute to how we work.
• No boring run of the mill or 'easy' projects - lots of opportunities and challenges to get your teeth into!

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary level qualification (in project management, information technology or a relevant business discipline) and/or recognised qualification(s) appropriate to the role (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP).
• Considerable experience in Information Technology (IT) project management and delivering IT projects.
• Proven experience working with project management methodologies and tools, including scoping, planning, resourcing and monitoring project outcomes.
• Proven ability to analyse and interpret information, prepare written reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business, client focused solutions.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in cyber security project management in a large or complex organisation.
• Demonstrated project leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract administration, contract and consultant management.

• This is a full-time (37.5 hours), fixed term position for 18 months.
• We have a strong preference that the role is located in Ōtepoti/Dunedin, however we will consider remote work.
