Role Description

The Project Controls Engineer is responsible for lead cost control, budgeting / estimating, forecasting, change management, and purchase-to-pay functions across a portfolio of industrial capital projects.

The Project Controls Engineer will establish and enforce standardization in project controls. He/she will serve as the analytical engine driving data-informed decisions for project managers and Project Group Leadership.

The Project Controls Engineer has end-to-end accountability for the integrity, consistency, and effectiveness of Project Controls processes from project development through close-out.

The Project Controls Engineer’s role is to ensure that projects are predictable and delivered as sold.

This position can be based out of one of our primary corporate hubs in Radnor, PA, Houston, TX, Independence, OH, or Montreal, QC. Qualified candidates interested in a remote work arrangement may also be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
• 8-12+ years of total experience in project controls.
• Prior experience within industrial gas, chemical processing, oil & gas, process industries, EPC execution, or heavy industrial capital builds.

• Experience and proficiency in cost estimating techniques.
• Able to make timely decisions and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to prepare and deliver training on project controls subjects.
• Strong analytical skills with a rigorous and methodical approach.
• Proficient with SAP ERP system; SAP S/4HANA preferred.
