Role Description

This role involves providing administrative support and coordination for the Health Innovation Programs team at Healthcare Excellence Canada (HEC).

• Provides a high level of administrative support to the Director/Senior Program Leads and their respective team.
• Manages and coordinates events and projects in the program area, including online programming and meetings.
• Provides general program support and coordination to the team, including preparation of briefing materials.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Maintains Director/Senior Program Lead meeting schedules, project deadlines, etc.
• Drafts, proofreads, and edits correspondence and other material for review/signature.
• Reconciles all travel authorization forms, expense claims, and credit card payments regularly.
• Coordinates internal and external meetings, speaking engagements, and travel arrangements.
• Manages, oversees, and communicates externally with vendors to coordinate events.
• Provides administrative support for the online learning platform, including content posting and technical problem-solving.

Qualifications

• College diploma in office administration, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent education and/or work experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years progressive experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in healthcare or a not-for-profit organization.
• Bilingual in French and English is preferred (English communication skills at Advanced “C” level required).
• Advanced computer software skills in Microsoft Office suite and virtual environment.
• Demonstrated ability working in health and healthcare, particularly quality improvement or patient safety is preferred.
