[Hiring] New Club Operations Project Manager @VASA FITNESS

Role Description

As the New Club Operations Project Manager, you are responsible for driving the execution of every new club opening--ensuring each location launches on time, on budget, and fully operational.

• Own the full operational readiness timeline, coordinating across HR, Marketing, IT, Construction, and Facilities.
• Ensure hiring, training, equipment, and systems are aligned for opening day.
• Manage budgets and vendor relationships while tracking progress against key milestones.
• Prioritize, problem-solve, and make real-time decisions to keep openings on track.
• Identify risks early, remove roadblocks, and adjust plans as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing complex, multi-phase projects (new openings, construction, operations, or similar).
• Proven ability to manage projects from planning through execution--owning timelines, budgets, and outcomes.
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to align teams across HR, Marketing, IT, Construction, and Operations.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and external partners to deliver on timelines and quality expectations.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying efficiencies.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.
• Comfortable making decisions and solving problems in real time to keep projects on track.
• Experience using project management tools (Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project, or similar).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, build trust, and drive accountability across teams.
• Self-motivated with a high degree of ownership, urgency, and follow-through.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Operations, or related field preferred.
• PMP, CAPM, or similar certification is a plus.
• Experience in fitness, hospitality, or retail environments is a plus.

Requirements

• New clubs open on time, on budget, and fully operational.
• Hiring, training, and staffing milestones are executed on schedule, ensuring teams are ready for opening day.
• Operational plans--including staffing, inventory, setup, and compliance--are executed seamlessly.
• Vendors and contractors deliver furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) on time and meet quality standards.
• Budgets across labor, travel, and equipment are managed effectively, with opportunities identified to improve efficiency.
• Cross-functional teams (HR, Marketing, IT, Construction, Facilities) stay aligned and accountable to timelines.
• Project timelines, KPIs, and milestones are consistently tracked, with adjustments made to keep projects on pace.
• Risks are identified early and mitigated before impacting opening timelines or quality.
• Clubs transition smoothly from opening to ongoing operations, with strong performance in the first 90 days.
• Strong relationships are built across teams and with external partners, creating a collaborative and high-performing opening process.

Compensation Details

• $60,000--$70,000 base salary.
• 10% annual bonus potential.
