Role Description

As a Project Manager within the Marketing PMO, you'll focus on the executional portion of programs and campaigns by supporting PMO Program Managers and Senior Project Managers who guide these high-volume initiatives from strategy through delivery. This role will also independently manage the delivery of multiple mid-level projects on time and within the established scope. This includes:

• Monitoring and managing the initiation of forecasted work
• Assisting in media execution support (specifications, trafficking of files, media supplier delivery, etc.)
• Project managing work from inception to final delivery
• Facilitating and communicating project status
• Producing recaps for completed projects

Responsibilities

• Project Planning:
  • Helping outline forecasted marketing work to aid in planning efforts
  • Assists Program or Senior Project Managers with Campaign planning if requested
• Project Lifecycle Management:
  • Championing the processes and workflow to safeguard consistency while flexing when required for project success
  • Assists and takes direction from Program Managers or Senior Project Managers on complex, high-volume programs or campaigns
  • Ensuring upfront project requirements/scoping are received and aligned with the appropriate project priority and workflow
  • Creating comprehensive project schedules that outline project milestones
  • Capturing milestone dates and overall timelines regularly, validating and adjusting timelines as needed
  • Facilitating project approvals for internal stakeholders
  • Identifying and proactively resolving any deliverables that might fall behind schedule
  • Communicating project status, approvals, risk, and delivery updates across teams and stakeholders
  • Scheduling, facilitating, and outlining action items & next steps for project related meetings
  • Working with designated production suppliers to ensure delivery of project deliverables
  • Ensuring proper project closure and archive procedures are executed
• Project Execution & Ownership:
  • Manages a diverse portfolio of projects, including single-channel initiatives and larger, multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Takes full ownership of projects, proactively driving them forward with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrates comfort working in ambiguity and adapting to shifting priorities

Skills

• Project Management System Coordination:
  • Orchestrating all assigned book of work activities and documentation within the PMO technology support systems
  • Certifying the system centrally houses all project requirements, schedules, documentation, and project approvals
  • Managing data entry into systems as required
  • Leveraging reporting to analyze, translate, and communicate trends or project insights
  • Functioning as a skillful user of all system features and functions
  • Contributes to PMO-wide process standardization by documenting workflows
• Business Knowledge:
  • Ensuring an understanding of the overall JWN business and the Client Rack customer
  • Keeping aware of JWN business goals and performance
  • Possessing a general knowledge of their assigned book of work including forecasted goals and business results
• Cross-Program Agility:
  • Operates as a versatile PMO execution resource
  • Demonstrates willingness and ability to take on work across multiple programs
  • Builds and maintains cross-program knowledge by proactively learning program nuances
• AI & Tool Fluency:
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset toward adopting emerging tools and AI capabilities
  • Actively explores and applies AI-assisted tools to augment project management tasks
  • Identifies opportunities to automate or streamline repetitive execution tasks

Qualifications

• Systems & Tools: Workfront — required, hands-on proficiency
• PM Experience: Prior project management experience in marketing, advertising, design, or a related field
• Channel Knowledge: Strong understanding across marketing channels
• Soft Skills / Working Style: Operates well with ambiguity, drives projects without heavy top-down direction

• Preferred experience with Project Management in Marketing Operations
