Role Description

The IT Integration & Project Delivery Manager will lead end-to-end IT integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) within a dynamic healthcare DSO environment. This role ensures seamless onboarding of new practices, drives standardization of project management processes, and establishes governance frameworks to maintain operational excellence. Acting as the single-threaded IT owner for integration and onboarding initiatives, this position is critical to delivering predictable, high-quality outcomes aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• M&A Integration Leadership:
  • Manage full lifecycle of IT integrations from diligence through stabilization.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of integration milestones.
• Integration Playbook Execution:
  • Implement standardized 30/60/90/120-day integration playbooks across all acquisitions.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans to mitigate risks and dependencies.
• New Practice Onboarding:
  • Serve as the IT single-threaded owner for onboarding new practices into the enterprise ecosystem.
  • Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and operational standards.
• Project Management Leadership & Standardization:
  • Develop and maintain templates for project charters, RAID logs, scorecards, and intake forms.
  • Promote consistency and transparency across all IT projects.
  • Lead project managers to ensure timely and quality project delivery across a wide range of IT projects.
• Governance & Reporting:
  • Establish governance cadence including weekly project reviews and monthly dashboards.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on integration status, risks, and KPIs.
• Escalation Management:
  • Act as temporary escalation point for IT project timelines and dependencies.
  • Drive resolution of critical issues impacting delivery.
• IT Activities for PMS Conversions:
  • Managing data migrations from existing systems (including documents and images).
  • Ensuring computers / networks / and ISP services are adequate for a cloud system.
  • Ensuring imaging computers are configured in advance and fully tested.
  • Escalating and assisting with planning to replace any legacy integrations (3rd party products that may no longer be used after the conversion).
• Strong knowledge of information technology with the ability to bridge the gap between technology vendors and nontechnical staff / doctors.
• Problem solving – work with practices, vendors and internal resources to find solutions for novel problems driven by practice variation.
• Ability to develop high quality reports and presentations to provide project updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 3 years in M&A integration or healthcare IT.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP or Agile certification preferred).
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-site integrations under tight timelines.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects, as well as strong follow-through skills.
• Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC 2).
• Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experience working with Smartsheet and/or Asana preferred.
• Organized with high attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
• Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Highly adept at receiving professional feedback and agile with implementing change as directed.
• Ability to lead and motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.
