Role Description

This position is a remote based position for the Abbott Point of Care, Diagnostics Division. Abbott Point of Care develops, manufactures and markets critical medical diagnostic and data management products for rapid blood analysis. The i-STAT System is an advanced, portable diagnostic tool that provides real-time, lab-quality results within minutes to accelerate patient-care decision-making.

The Implementation Project Manager provides best-in-class project management and execution of associated tasks of the company's portfolio of products; engage with key personnel to streamline customer processes to better facilitate patient care through use of the company's solutions.

• Support Field sales team (Point of Care Sales Specialists) to deliver sales growth by providing pre-close sales support to overcome clinical or laboratory challenges.
• Develop new innovative strategies to implement customer solutions at an expedited rate.
• Function as a laboratory project and account manager to facilitate implementations, build product value with existing customers, and support field sales during pre-close process to drive territory growth.
• Territory for this position is primarily South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida; candidate must live within the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Medical Technology, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy or a related field of study; associate degree is acceptable with additional experience and demonstrated competence.
• Typically requires 3-5 years of experience in the healthcare industry (of the 3-5 years' experience, 3+ years should be in project management).

Requirements

• 3+ years of working in the healthcare field with 1+ years in a clinical hospital position preferred.
• 3 years of project management experience and/or demonstrated leadership role.
• Ability to maintain consistent momentum with multiple products and across multiple implementation assignments.
• Ability to manage a project with multiple stakeholders and process owners and clearly convey communications.
• Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships.
• Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to confidently speak in public and lead training groups.
• Strong organization, time, and project management skills.
• Willing and able to travel by all means of transportation (including overnight travel) up to 80% of the time to support business goals.
