Role Description
As an Event Specialist, you will aid in creating memorable experiences for our customers and internal team members by assisting in the planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events.
- Assist in overall event plan by coordinating various logistics under direction of team lead
- Organize and manage inventory for trade shows, company store, event gifting, etc.
- Provide on-site assistance for event set up, management, and tear down as needed
- Cost tracking and budget reviews with event team lead
- Vendor and Supplier Relations
- Conduct venue, vendor, and supplier research
- Gather initial vendor proposals and provide recommendations based on cost and quality
- Coordinate vendor payments and budget implications
- Post-Event Evaluation
- Assist team lead in budget reconciliation
- Create event re-cap decks and reports
- Review and track post event feedback and provide recommendations for improvement
Qualifications
- Self-starter personality with ability to take extreme ownership over tasks and projects while maintaining a white glove, high touch service model
- Excellent communication skills with the flexibility to adapt levels of personalization and care accordingly
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks while maintaining strict attention to detail
- Highly motivated individual with proven self-discipline to work independently and effectively in remote environment
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, deadline driven environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Agency or DMC experience in hospitality, corporate travel or incentive programs, and account service/project management
- Exposure to tradeshow and corporate meeting planning
- Network of industry partner relations
