[Hiring] Coalition Programme Manager @Meliore Foundation (FUP)

4d ago - Meliore Foundation (FUP) is hiring a remote Coalition Programme Manager. 💸 Salary: unspecified 📍Location: Worldwide

Role Description

We're looking for an innovative Programme Manager with a unique combination of skills who wants to play a major role in tackling climate change. You’ll be joining a global coalition of over 60 prominent climate groups - from activists to academics to advocates - working to undermine the social license and political influence of climate intensive industries. You’ll report to the Chief Programme Development Officer of Meliore Foundation and oversee the coalition. Responsibilities will span areas like coalition support, member management, governance design, and expansion.

In this position, you will be responsible for facilitating the coalition, through driving collaboration, information sharing, and ambitious strategy-setting, that will help move the needle on climate progress. We are looking for someone with skills and passion for effective operations, stakeholder communication, project management, and creative problem solving - and who wants to put that to use in the fight against climate change.

If this sounds like you, we'd love for you to apply.

  • Demonstrated experience managing programs in the nonprofit, philanthropic, and/or coalitions.
  • Experience in campaigns or strategic communications and in project management.

  • Proven ability to coordinate and manage complex stakeholder relationships where competing agendas and priorities exist.
  • Experience delivering communication and engagement as they apply to successful coalition coordination.
  • High-level organisational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to think laterally and conceptually.
  • Strong time and priority management, a high level of independence, and a can-do mentality.
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills and an ability to build trust with colleagues and partners.
  • The ability to develop, and track annual budgets and expenditures.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset.

Requirements

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of a global coalition.
  • Drive participation in workstreams by ensuring topics are timely, relevant, and actionable for members.
  • Work with workstream coordinators to develop agendas, recruit and prep speakers, and convene regular all-hands coalition meetings.
  • Identify areas for cross-workstream collaboration and coordinate such collaborations.
  • Develop shared coalition priorities and translate them into action plans, agendas, and timelines.
  • Identify and recruit prospective coalition members.
  • Develop onboarding protocol for new members.
  • Provide on-site logistical and administrative support for coalition meetings.
  • Support and/or lead the implementation of plans leveraging knowledge of prior work with members.

  • Regularly update strategy and aims based on coalition feedback and funding availability.
  • Coordinate with coalition members to implement strategic campaigns.
  • Garner coalition buy-in and build alignment behind shared strategy and aims.
  • Identify and explore areas for expansion for the coalition.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, refinement and/or adaptation of grantmaking strategies.
  • Identify prospective grant recipients and work with them to develop proposals.
  • Make recommendations on the distribution of funding based on available resources and coalition priorities.
  • Build strong partnerships with members by understanding their work and unique needs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for members for needs related to managing grants.
  • Develop and distribute quarterly updates on coalition activities.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential funders for the coalition.
  • Represent coalition to funders at relevant events.
  • Provide regular updates on the coalition to Meliore staff.
