Role Description

Information Security Scrum Master will be responsible for leading two or more of our agile scrum teams on InfoSec projects and initiatives. This individual will also be responsible for mentoring and coaching teams through agile methodologies.

Lead agile scrum teams executing the InfoSec Agile roadmap
Facilitate strategic and tactical conversations among a wide range of business and technical stakeholders
Collaborate with Info Sec product managers, product owners, technical leads, clients, and other stakeholders
Deliver a seamless customer experience in the IS space
Lead Agile teams to deliver on critical initiatives

Key Responsibilities

Lead teams and the organization on how to best use Agile principles/frameworks and effectively leverage appropriate best practices
Advocate for autonomous, self-organizing, empowered, and continuously improving teams
Act as Scrum Master for assigned Scrum teams, facilitating ceremonies such as stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Manage Sprints - keeping order, process, delivery, priorities accurate and on time
Keep scrum team focused on concrete priorities while minimizing outside disruptions
Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand expected product functionality and customer requirements
Assist in removing team impediments, and track and maintain metrics
Promote collaboration, transparency, and communicate accurate and timely information to stakeholders
Create, assess, update and maintain agile documentation
Generate agile metrics reports indicating velocity, burn-down, etc.
Experience working on Releases and coordinate with related teams for approvals
Lead projects in Waterfall to Agile methodologies
Support Agile transformation journey
Be the Agile learnings lead for the ART
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 6+ years of work experience, or in lieu of degree 8+ years of work experience
Minimum 5+ years of IT experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience with Jira, Agile, and other project management tools
Minimum 5 years of working in Agile transformation as a Scrum Master
Hands-on experience in agile, scrum master, project manager roles
SAFe Agilist, SAFE Scrum Master certification is a must

Desired Skills/Knowledge

InfoSec/IAM business and technology experience is a plus
Previous working experience with InfoSec technologies and a firm understanding of Agile principles and frameworks
Previous working experience coaching and transforming technology delivery teams into an Agile framework
Skilled at organizing and communicating complex concepts
Strong experience managing Agile delivery projects
Organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail a must
Ability to work with teams to gather unrefined business requirements and formulate solutions
Ability to work under pressure of multiple projects and deadlines
Solid communication skills and must be highly motivated
Must be a self-starter, ability to quickly learn, adapt, and think outside the box

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 6+ years of work experience, or in lieu of degree 8+ years of work experience

Work Timings

03:30 PM - 12:30 AM IST
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India
Availability required between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time
Remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose
