Role Description

Ardurra is seeking an Aviation Project Manager to join our growing team. This exciting fully-remote opportunity is for candidates residing in Arizona. This position gives you the flexibility to work where you thrive while contributing to impactful aviation projects.

In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing projects and serving as a client manager for airport design and construction projects within specific regions. The ideal individual will:

• Provide mentoring to junior staff
• Lead QA/QC efforts
• Play a strategic role in expanding Ardurra's aviation presence through client relationship management and business development initiatives
• Be heavily involved in projects from concept through completion, including project planning, regulatory approvals, environmental compliance, financial planning, legislative strategy, land acquisition, and design phasing

This role will also be instrumental in:

• Identifying new business opportunities
• Developing and maintaining relationships with airport sponsors, aviation agencies, and industry partners
• Supporting proposal and pursuit efforts
• Collaborating with leadership to drive growth within targeted markets
• Participating in industry organizations and conferences
• Helping position Ardurra for upcoming aviation planning, design, and construction opportunities

Success in this role requires both strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to client development, market expansion, and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• PE License
• 8+ years' experience in the airport design and/or construction field, either in private industry or government service
• Airport design, construction administration, and project management experience
• Strong knowledge of FAA advisory circulars related to airport design and the FAA grant process
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to lead and mentor existing staff and develop new staff as needed to support growth of the aviation group
• Self-motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability to work on challenging projects in a team environment

Physical Requirements
